Delivery Policy

Free shipping on all orders over $300 (Authority to leave at address unattended ONLY)

Customer ID is required for in-store pickup to prevent fraud!

Our free shipping offer promotion only covers deliveries that are authorised to be left at the front door unattended if the recipient is not home/at the provided address. An additional $9.35 will be charged to your card if you require a signature or shipping to a PO BOX, which is to cover the cost of transporting to and holding at your local Post Office/depot - all relevant documentation and receipts will be supplied with the delivery in this case.

Clearance rods, reels, and bulky items are not covered in our free shipping promotion. Shipping will be added and charged manually by our staff onto your order after your checkout if it contains clearance reels, rods, or bulky items (ie tackle boxes) and the free shipping option is selected.

If you are eligible for free shipping and require a signature upon delivery please specify in the checkout comments. In this case, we will manually push through an additional charge of $8.40 on the supplied card for payment covering a signature required. If no instructions are given in the checkout comments, all free shipping deliveries will automatically default to authority to leave upon delivery to avoid the extra $9.35 charge.

Due to the fee's charged by Australia Post offices for PO Box deliveries, a $9.35 charge will be applied to any free delivery order that is being sent to a PO Box - all relevant documentation and receipts will be supplied with the delivery in this case.

Customers who live outside of capital cities, in rural and country areas, or who live in Northern Territory on an island or particularly isolated areas may not qualify for free shipping due to the high costs incurred with shipping out bulky items to these areas. We will contact you if this is the case to work out the details.

We ship to Australia only - no international shipping.

We offer a few different delivery options, please read over each one and select the most suitable option:

In-store Pickup
Customer ID is required for in-store pickup to prevent fraud. If someone besides you is picking up your online order please let us know by email or phone as soon as possible so we can give pick-up authorisation.

One full business day is required for processing in-store pickup orders (Mon-Fri). This does not include weekends & public holidays.

Standard - Leave at Door (No Signature Required) ($12.95):
This shipping option does not require a signature from the receiver, and can be left at the address of delivery without needing anyone to be home. If you require more detailed instructions on where to leave your delivery, please include them in the checkout comments section - we will try our best to pass these on to the driver, although this can never be a guarantee. Tackle World Adelaide Metro and Star Track Express take no responsibility for stolen or damaged goods if you choose the option to grant authority to leave the delivery at your door.

Special - Signature Required ($22.30)
A signature is required for delivery for this option, and we recommend using this option if you are not sure or certain that anyone will be available at the specified address to take the delivery of your goods. In the event that nobody is available at the time of delivery to sign for the goods, your delivery will be taken to your local Depot/Post Office for holding, and a calling card will be left at the delivery address so you may sign for and pickup your package at your own convenience from the Post Office/Depot, which incurs the additional $9.35 fee. This method is not recommended for rural/country areas as your closest depot may be a considerable distance from you. We do not allow for free redelivery if you missed the initial drop off, however a redelivery can be arranged by special request which incurs an extra delivery fee.  

Ship to PO Box ($22.30)
Rods & bulky items (ground freight) cannot be sent to a PO BOX - Australia Post refuses to hold bulky items. Select this shipping option when you are posting to a PO Box or Locked Bag, and the items are not rods or tackle boxes (bulky items). The $8.40 fee is incurred from the courier company for the additional tasks of delivering and processing goods at the Post Office.

Northern Territory & Country/Rural Areas:
If you require delivery to NT or a country or rural area, there will be additional postage charges which need to be applied to your order. Delivering to areas such as Northern Territory, Kangaroo Island, and any islands or isolated areas will incur additional fee's of up to $30 for satchels and more sometimes for cartons/boxes. We will contact you to work out the details if this is the case.

Clearance Products
If your order contains clearance rods, reels, or bulky items free shipping will be disqualified.

Rods, Tackle Boxes & Combo's ($20)
Rods have a shipping rate of $20 each. All large sized tackle boxes will be charged at a rate of $20 per tackle box. All rod & reel combo's will be charged at a rate of $20 per combo. This applies only to capital cities of Australia. We may require additional fees to deliver to rural areas. Rods over 6 feet in length may also incur and additional fee. You will be contacted if additional fees are required. 

If you would like to request a signature required on delivery for rods, tackle boxes or anything that wont fit in an overnight satchel then please leave a comment in the checkout requesting so. An additional fee of $8.40 will be manually charged to your credit/debit card after you have submitted your order.

Rods & bulky items (ground freight) sent to a PO BOX address - Australia Post sometimes refuses to hold large and bulky items depending on their size and quantity, please be sure to confirm with your local post office/agent that they will accept your items before placing your order.

In the event that nobody is available at the time of delivery to sign, and you have requested "Signature Required" in the order comments, it will be taken to your local Star Track depot/agent for holding, and a calling card will be left at the delivery address so you may arrange for a pick-up of your package from the depot/agent.

If you do not wish for your package to be taken to your local depot/agent, you have the option to authorise for your package to be left at your address, at the location of your choice (ie behind the chair, leave in backyard etc). Please make a note in the comments section at the checkout if this is your preference.

If you require re-delivery of your ground freight package after the initial attempt please contact us. An additional delivery fee is charged on top of the initial delivery fee for this service.

Please also note that although we use flat rate's for most of the shipping, some large or excessive orders may require an additional amount for postage - we will contact you if this is the case.

All products excluding rods, gaffs, nets, tackle boxes and other bulky items will have an estimated delivery time of 1-2 business days after processing - AIR FREIGHT.

All rods, gaffs, nets, tackle boxes and other bulky items will have an estimated delivery time of 2-7 business days after processing, depending on location - GROUND FREIGHT.

All orders will come with a tracking number for you to track your package. Please check your email after ordering as we will provide you with your tracking number and details.

We use a customised real-time stock controlling system to ensure the availability of our products is correctly displayed on our online store to the best of our current ability. However there is a small chance of an administrative, coding or computing error occuring, and if some goods are unavailable after you have placed your order we will contact you immediately.
